ARABIC LANGUAGE
Merjem Mekić is a young professional with notable educational and work experience, and with the character of a goal-oriented, dedicated and highly organised person.
She is a holder of a MA in Arabic Language and Literature (UNSA Golden Badge Award – Top of Class 2015–2017). She was educated and trained in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey and Qatar and completed many different programs and internships in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Turkey, Germany, France and Belgium.
Having an interest as well as considerable work experience in the fields of: Arabic Language (Consultant for Arabic Language, Arabic Language Instructor, Tourist Guide and Translator, Arabic Language Teacher, etc.); English Language (Tourist Guide and Translator, Assistant at Summer Schools, etc.); Social Care (Volunteer at Mentoring Project “Big Brother/Big Sister”) and NGO Sector.
She won many awards in the field of Arabic Language and Literature and got many recognitions of achievement for various educational, cultural and religious competitions and programmes. She has published several articles and poems in scholarly journals and has written and translated for Literary Journal “Život”.
Currently, Ms. Mekić works as Arabic Language Instructor and Translator and serves as Consultant for Arabic Language at Centre for Humanitarian Diplomacy.
