Mr Saleem a committed practitioner and scholar with interests in conflict management, peacebuilding, interfaith engagement, political affairs, development management, humanitarian policy, institutional strengthening, project management, human and organisational development.
 


His particular expertise is on the role of faith in conflict and humanitarian response and he has an interest in South Asia namely Sri Lanka. His current work is on conflict management and peace building, developing a comprehensive framework that includes development and humanitarian action. Mr Saleem particularly look at the role that faith and faith leaders can play in peace building and conflict resolution.



He has a track record of project management, managing teams, managing complex budgets and delivering to deadlines with regards humanitarian and peace building. He has experience in communications, media, PR, developing campaigns and event management, as well.

He worked within the formal and informal sector with Community Based Organisations in the UK, Australia and Sri Lanka helping them to build their capacity and working with the underprivileged to help them realise their potential. Dr Saleem has experience of working with organisations in the Middle East, Malaysia and Myanmar to deliver humanitarian, development and peace building responses. He has managed the delivery of key projects as well as planning, proposal writing and dealing with clients. This also involved experience in general consultancy which involves media, public relations and project management. 

Dr Saleem serves as Honorary Peacebuilding Advisor at the Centre.
